Latest news and election results
Exciting News – our first green councillor!
Larry Crofton, formerly Labour Borough Councillor in Welwyn Hatfield and Leader of the Town Council has defected from Labour to the Greens and is now our first sitting Borough Councillor.

May 1 Election results
Welwyn Hatfield stood a candidate in seven out of eight wards for the County Council Elections on May 1. The results are below. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to stand, and enabling people to vote Green.
The good news for the County is that from just one councillor we now have five. Four in East Herts and one in St Albans; Matt Fisher who won by just 6 votes! The largest group now on the Council is the Liberal Democrats with 31 councillors.
Well done to everyone who worked so hard to get elected.
